Not sure if ill change to syntetic rope or just buy a fairlead for steel wire yet.
Had to remove the A/C fan to make room, but thats it..

Nice and tight!
No AC fan? Will that make the AC less effective only when not moving maybe?

I would still try to get a rope to replace the wire.

Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 BFG MT, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck, 17%/87% high/low gears.

Yes, thats what i`m hoping for, that the AC will work as before unless i`m standing still.
There is room for a smaller fan , but i dont care much about it..
If the motor shows to run hot in offroad use, i`ll make a manual electric fan instead..

Syntetic rope looks like the way to go for safety! But there`s pro`s and con`s for both..
Theres everything from heat issues, alu fairliead that gets damaged if the hook is pulled into it (needs to be hooked to the tow point at all times), and contamination from the road etc..
Both alternatives probably needs a sack over the winch for longevity and less maintenance.

Worked just as supposed, and was a very quick fix! Thanks for putting it out there.. (If the YT vid wasnt you, it might be based on you`re idea anyway)

Yes that's me. I've put a few random Jimny videos on YouTube. Nice to see they are useful :)
Yes Jack, 6.8mm is correct but in this instance it is not critical. There is very little force on the bolt.
