Tightened the generator belt. Have been squeeling.
Tested it by turning on heated seats, mirrors and rear window, high beam with most of the aux lamps 700w, fan on full. And waited for the DC-DC charger to kick in at 30A. Got the charge voltage down to 12.4v on idle. No squeel.
Switched of most of it and got back to 14.3v.
Pleased for now.
I adjusted the steering linkage to re-centre the steering wheel after my lift.
Despite looking at it several times, I decided that the steering rod needed lengthening, based on the fact that the mounting point had moved further down.
After lengthening the arm by 1/2 a turn the wheel went further out, seems I went the wrong way.
It was only after I remembered that the anti-roll bar pulls the wheels to the drivers side slightly after a lift, I realised the steering rod needed shortening. Reversing the wrong way and had to apply about 1/2 a turn shorter than stock.
I should have realised it needed shortening the steering wheel was out to the right after the lift with the wheels straight, this of course means the rod is to long.
What should have been a 15 minute job was spread over 2 days in the end as I found I didn’t have an open ended 24mm spanner (just a ring) and my big adjustable would only fit on one end due to the steering damper.
The nuts were also much tighter than I would have liked for an open spanner.
