Am I jinxed? Just had spare jimny in for a kingpin shim and found a cracked front off side spring? What is that about? I'm going to put it down to statistical probability of having more than one jimny at the same time. Still odd though.

Its not as unusual as you might think. I had an e class Merc that broke its springs (car was like trigger broom) and have heard of it on countless other marks.

I've heard of a few jimnys with broken springs recently. One of which has only done 4000 miles. Perhaps due to the worsening pot hole situation across the country? I see my new to me Gen 3 had one of its springs replaced at the beginning of last year at 28k miles due to it being cracked.
