Sorry but all this seems a bit extream to me , what lift do you have on and what offset rims ?
When i had the 2" lift and 30" tyres all i had to cut was a little from the plastic arch to get full lock . . . . .your tyres are only 1.5" bigger from hub centre

No its not that way.

the 30's are 74,3cm tall and 31's are 78.3cm tall. So we talk for 4cm bigger tire but also

20mm wider. The 30's are 245/75/15 and the 31's are 265/75/15.

From numbers to reality there is a big difference. I thought the same when i had to choose

between 31'' and 30'' and i went for 31'' because i said, eeehhh no big deal, is just 4cm.

But when i put them on and saw the trimming needed and some other mods, i understand

it.

Not sure of the offset but the tyres are 285/75 on 16'' rims with agressive insa turbo tread, its true what Panosd says - in real life they are scary big

if you have 30" tyres and then fit 31" tyres you only gain 0.5" of ground clearance and get closer to the arches by 0.5"
30's are 74,3cm tall and 31's are 78.3cm tall so thay are only 20mm closer to the rear of the arch and 20mm more ground clearance

The 30" ones were also mt with large lugs and also had 32mm spacers fitted
You are not gaining 3 inch that is the total height you only gain half of that

job well done better than cutting the chassis mounts off becouse there is more chance of them breaking off

whats that little hole is it some thing you drilled to blow air in to incase of flames or is it already there?

Very nice job. Now you must take a careful look at the weldings in order to avoid any holes

left.

I no this is a little off topic but on my jimny I am currently running a 3" lift with 30's but thinking of dropping Down to a 2" lift and mix around with my suspension and steering components to get a fairly equal on and off road drive but will the 30's catch, scrub or impede with only a 2" lift it or do I have to drop tyre size as well
