I had a small cut in the passenger seat, not sure if it was there when I bought the car or has happened since.
So a visit to a car upholstery place a few miles away, they took the seat out, cover off, stitched in a new panel and put it all back together on Friday morning.
If you didn’t know you wouldn’t be able to tell.
Thanks Steve and Barbara at NE Trimmers, top class work.

On my 1 day off, picked up some seats (DrRobin) and a roof top tent for the off road trailer project. Just need another day off to start fitting stuff!

Installed the Jimny Wild “no drill snorkel” - good
More induction noise - impression of more “pep” from the engine though it could be my imagination.
Install fairly straightforward and quick. Only challenge finding the correct position for the connecting pipe between snorkel and air filter box. That was not easy.

It's a good job that the rear drum brake does not require too much maintenance because they are a bit of a pox of a thing to clean and lubricate. Hopefully they will last another 6 years without further meaningful intervention.

Fitted some 'Grip Tape' to the Rocksliders. Although it's not long since I had them re-powder coated. Scuffs were showing already through standing on them as a step.
I hope no one opens thier door on them to get in/out, because they will have a nicely sanded door edge

I really like the 2” receiver tow bars you get over there, it means you can attach something else, like a winch if you want. They aren’t very common here, which is a real shame.
I am a bit surprised that the wiring harness is different for the 5 door, mostly cars are fitted with the tow bar wiring down to the back of the vehicle, but Suzuki must have done something different on the 5 door.

There's two problems with it, the 1st is that the power lead is a bit short, the 5 door is of course longer so the 3 door harness is about a foot too short, it will reach but not neatly.
the 2nd thereat the harness ecu has nowhere to fit in the back, it's designed to mount on the side wall and earth to the seat bolt, but there's no room in the 5 door fir it to fit as the trim hugs the body a lot closer.
This is all the space you have to work with, and you are supposed to rldrill a 30mm hole to fit it, and seal it with a grommet, but there's no space to work with.
