Sorry to raise an old topic. Before I get all excited an make one of these or indeed buy one from kap, how weak are the diff pans on a jimny, are they properly made of cheese like a land rover or are they quite good and the guard is just for peace of mind?

I've seen them before, my friend has them on his disco
I thought about it, but no they won't fit,
1) because a Landy diff is bigger so the guard is bigger
2) the facng edge of the diff sits out, giving it a flat
Edge all the way around, which is how it bolts on
A jimny diff facing edge buldges out and is smoothed over
There's nothing for the diff guard to grip on to

Has anyone tried one of these from a Lawnrover?
They're only about 20 quid on eBay but no idea if it could be adapted to fit the Jimny.
