J999 MNY, ULYSSES M18 VVT with ITB's Dyno tested at 130hp
Pickup/tipper, R7me gearbox & 6.4 Rocklobster, 31" Toyo MT, 2x ARB air locker 3.9 diffs in braced axles, 6" total lift, Floating rear conversion, Raptor painted, CB, Recaro's, Caged, etc, etc...
www.youtube.com/user/riclemus
Floating rears progress...
Trip to the scrapyard today to get some brake calipers and brackets from a VAG car. Was told MK4 golf, but actually got them from a skoda octavia (identical part). Right old fight to get them off as they are an allen key style bolt that holds the hangar onto the axles. Got them with a bit of the solid pipe still attached to allow me to try and use the flaring tool to join them to copper, which I can join to the existing splitter block on the axle pretty easily...
(that is after a good clean-up and regrease)
Tried loosley putting it all together as well...
Seems odd that all that (plus wheels) is attached to the rear axle casing by four M8 bolts :woohoo:   Might have to look into beefing that up a bit somehow.
Also found the ECU (behind the glovebox) and noted it is a 4 plug version, so I can use the wiring diagrams Martin kindly sent me to help with the upcoming throttle body & ECU conversion
