As far as I know, it's only the Manual that is affected? Someone else might be able to confirm though?

Our 2020 Jimny is a manual and never had any untoward noises from the transmission.

Our 2021 is manual and has the noise.

I have a 2021 model with same noise. Found this below on the German forum. I will mention it on my 1000km check.
