This job has been a nightmare, new radius arms should take 2-3 hrs to install, so far I'm about 6! Trying to do it myself and get the bolts in the right place by using ratchets and jacks etc, is testing my patience. I have to go away for a few days, but did mange to get the drivers side tightened up and shock mounted. Hopefully the passenger side should be quick, its 90% done now.

I just want to get out and play, I'm pissed off with constant fixing and stuff taking longer then it should

You can see the sheered off mount

The new shock mount in place...still some tidying painting to do, but enough for today.

Well at last triggers brush is back on the road, the new radius arms have had the effect of straightening out the front springs (rather then the banana shape they were)

New alloys from Dave in Welsh Wales have been fitted - a nice bargain these, must remember a wee donation to the forum - these run so much quieter on the road.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationCheers guys, the tyre print decal was from fleabay, similar to these

Quite enjoying driving it now, I may investigate an anti roll bar, as with the 4" lift, it rolls like a fishing boat in a storm.

I'm also hoping the rocklobster turns up soon.

I'm still keen on the Anti Roll Bar idea, but a quick look under the front and mine doesn't seem to have the chassis mounts? Are these easy to fabricate, has anyone got any pics of there's? Did the year 2000 W reg have anti-rollbars as standard? Can I use the anti roll bar with a 4" lift?

PS the front axle has the mounts on it

Cheers

The Jimny is coming on well now and confidence is growing that'll it get me home, as well there! So far I have manged to get on 3 green lane trips, one local trial and about 400 road miles.

I have just ordered the bits to move the rear lights in to the upper (fake) rear lights - anyone done this before? I have also ordered a 20" LED light bar, LED reversing light, LED fog... looks like I'm going to busy. The rocklobster is also due this week...

I had a look at the antiroll bar idea, but I think the mounts have been chopped off previously. So this will be a longer term project.
