Are you building a Mud Monster or a Pavement Princess??

Challenge trayback build was created by aniesigh
Hi all, thought i would start a build thread on here as ive used this forum to sell off all the unwanted bits!
The project is an evoloution of a vitara build i started last year but the goal posts moved a few times,
basically its going to be a traybacked jimny on landcruiser 70 series axles with electric lockers in them.
picked the base vehicle up last saturday and have stripped it back to bare chassis, the axles were prepped ready for 3 linking earlier in the year from when they were going on the vitara, it will be running fiddle brakes hence the 2 sets of rear calipers.
Thought I’d offer these up, gunna take abit of work to make them go under!
Let the strip down commence:

Looks Awesome
Keeps us updated with pics and so on
Is that 6mm sheet metal you're using for these mounts? If that's cut free-handed, I'd say you have a pretty steady hand

Is it a plasma cutter you're using? I guess 5mm should be enough
What engine are you using for this build? "just" the standard Jimny?

I'm already looking forward to see what you up to
I'm planning on a jimny build myself next year, hopefully powered by a 2.9 24v V6 Cosworth engine
