Steel wheels arrived. Started prepping them for some paint over the weekend.

Replaced the slide pins in the calipers. One was a pain to get out - some brake fluid, mole grips, and then, in the end, a brass drift and hammer to get it out. All sorted now, and wasn't too late getting to the pub.

Thankfully the wheels bar one were in good condition. So after about an hour with a drill with some wire brushes and the wheels are ready for some primer and paint tomorrow.

Your not finishing them in black are you? Silver or gray is the future!

Only the inside will be black.

For the outside Old English white has been suggested. Was pondering it for a few days and am going to get some ivory coloured paint, after I make a coffee for my lady.
