I converted mine into a shelf using aluminium
Just be aware how much heat comes up to the vents
i would advise trying to blank off behind to reduce the heat
Has it may get hot enough to effect the electronics

Snorkel, hmm i think i installed it in june or so.. I dont think i posted any pics of that
Low bass/sub box.. Done lots of measurments today, and bought some material to build the box..
Ive also started to copy youre compartment box in the floor, to keep tow ropes, tools etc in..
The subwoofer box will be approx 29 liters.. Around 35cm wide, 36cm deep, and around 40cm high making it approx flush with top of the rear seat when you have that compartment underneeth. Sub will be on top pointed up. Rear door cover will be replaced with a flat plate to make room, and generally to make boot space bigger. The rear panel wastes alot of space.
Going to be a tight fit, but it will also leave me with 55x35cm floor space for shopping beer
Ill do it so the sub can be removed within seconds when i need more space, allthough this is not the car i use when i need alot of space

A flat rear door trim is one of the best things for a Jimny if you are ever going to put anything in the back. On Ermintrude all I did was trim a piece of hardboard, sprayed it black and used a few fir tree clips to pick up existing holes in the door. It's lasted about 6 years of farm abuse though I have a plan to replace it in aluminiumiumiumiumiumium if I get that far.
