Tyre Pressure for 215/75/R15 ? was created by B3Hulk
Hi All ,
There has been so many threads about tyres but not much about tyre pressure. If there is a thread that has this answer, please direct me to it.
I have recently bought some new steel wheels - 15x7" with 13 negative offset.
I am looking to add on them some BFG KO2 215/75/R15's but I don't know what PSI should I have.
Does anyone have a good idea on what tyre pressure would be best for :
Any useful suggestions on what PSI I should be running on any scenario would be helpful!
Also , has anyone had any rub issues with such a large negative offset?

- Touring/ Everyday - ___ ? (possibly 30 PSI
- Sand - 13-16 PSI
- Mud/Rock - 20-22 PSI

Negative 13 is barely anything. Standard is between 0 and negative 5 depending on which steels or alloys you have. Negative 32 is a fairly common size instead of using spacers and it's not usually a problem especially if you don't have front mud flaps.

I run KO2's in the same size. 24 psi all-round is where I am at.
I have tried a number of pressures and different front to back..... 24 psi works for me and my driving style. I drive fast B roads mainly and want a relatively stiff sidewall allowing fast changes in direction without the wallow caused by soft sidewalls.
I do plenty of off roading (rock, mud, sand) and have never had to lower pressures to get out of trouble. The day may come...... I would happily lower to 10psi if needed, the tyres would stay on the rims.
I run 30mm spacers and have no rubbing issues with a 45mm lift. There was no rubbing on standard wheels and standard suspension. Offset wheels and 215's on old tired suspension will rub on full lock, not much tho.
Cracking tyres in my humble opinion.

Thanks all for the advice , very useful.
I have the Gen 4 Jimny 2019 , would that make any difference in PSI ?
