The picture on the original post reflects what is in the box. It's the locker along with the wiring and switch to operate it.

Looks a better option than the ARB to me.....a bit of LSD and an e locker!

A pair of 26 splines needed for my new Jimny!

Anyone notice the 65L fuel tank from the same seller......that would come in handy if you fitted say a supercharger and a turbo...

Agree Keithy. I have nothing against air lockers and would have ended up with one if I had never found an e-locker. My preference was always to eliminate the compressor. I have a small one that I bring when I am going to air down the tires. It doesn't weigh even half of what the ARB style compressor does and I only bring it when I need to. It makes me view the one for the lockers as just parasitic weight when you don't need it.

And I did see the fuel tanks. Tempting.

I ordered the larger TRE fuel tank for my Jimny. Will post pics of the fitment and give feedback in term of the experience.

Haven't seen a TRE fuel tank for the Jimny. Do you have a link?

Here is the TRE4X4 one. You will find it on their Facebook page.

Thanks Heinrich. Looking at their Facebook page, it looks like they may now carry an e-locker for the Jimny. They have made e-lockers for a while but when I contacted them a little over a year ago they didn't make them for the Jimny. Wish I had checked again. If they do now, I would have liked to make a comparison.

Looking forward to your comments on the fuel tank.

Received a reply from TRE. It appears that they do now sell an e-locker (front and rear) for the Jimny. They are about $125 USD less than WMD. Currently $598 USD plus shipping. They aren't an LSD when unlocked but I think I would prefer that for the front. If the locking method of an e-locker doesn't concern or annoy me too much, I may consider the TRE for my front diff.

Does this have a ramp engagement that requires a half turn of the wheel before locking or is there a different mechanism do you know?
Thanks

Yes. Same as the Eaton e-lockers. The ramp engagement is the "annoy me too much" part of my previous comment. It requires a 1/4 turn of the axle to engage, disengages if you stop forward progress and go backwards, will re-engage in reverse after 1/2 turn of the axle (1/4 turn back to a neutral position and 1/4 turn to engage again in reverse). It would go through that same process when you stop your reverse motion and begin going forward again.

I'm anticipating it won't bother me too much. It doesn't seem to bother most people that have the Eaton. I do remember watching one review comparing e-lockers and air lockers and the main take away for me was that the reviewer wouldn't recommend the e-lockers for people involved in competitions. We shall soon see.

Not trying to hijack my own thread but when I met with the owner of the shop that will be installing the locker, He had this parked out of the way of cars he is currently working on:

He has another at the side of the building that he appears to be using for parts. I didn't ask but from the new soft top, I'm guessing he is restoring this in his off-time.
