Started trying to remove the rad as I need to change the belts as they are slipping and I can smell burning rubber!

But then it started to rain

Damn rain is turning out to be a right pest.
Do you need to remove the radiator to change the fanbelt and associated belts?? I modified the fan shroud to make the shroud come off easily.

You don't need to remove the radiator to change the fan belts you just feed it through one blade at a time.

That's a good idea re: the shroud.

To be honest the time to take the rad off (although I couldn't get it off tonight) will be a good investment in terms of overall time and hassle in the long run. I know I will be throwing spanners at the J if I leave it on as it will annoy me

Thanks.

It's amazing how much room there is with the shroud off, you can get to belts and all sorts.

In fact, do you even need it, other than stopping you from chopping your hands to pieces :woohoo:
