And is that because it says in the handbook there is supposed to be a CAT (one or two) and a visual shows if there isn't even one - never mind the emmission situation.

Every petrol car after 08/92 has a cat if its missing it fails and would fail the cat test but if you smash the guts out of it and it looks like a cat then it would pass that side of it and fail on a cat test

I've never done something like that but my experiences of messing around with exhaust clamps, manifolds and unions has taught me it is a pain in the backside job. ;)

Removed the gearbox and replaced the clutch, removed my 410 transfer box and fitted my rocklobster, stripped and cleaned the front brakes also stripped cleaned and adjusted the rear brakes so all ready to go off roading now.

Also found with the 1600 engine fitted and mud tyres I can do very nice power slides round slippery roundabouts :)

Made a mental note not to touch the exhaust pipe when it's hot.

Also decided I'm not painting anything gold on my jimny

I'm going to keep the 410 box as a spare Gaz, I've developed a bit of a vibration with the rocklobster but I only noticed it after I fitted the transfer box guard but as I've got Rockwatt mount I might leave the guard off.

Are you thinking about changing you transfer box now Gaz?

No worries mate, its something thats on the cards as id like to go upto 215/80/15's or 235/75/15's reccon i could go to the 215's now having the 1.6 in but would rather not risk snapping a cv etc.but christmas isnt all that far away so it may just stay the way it is for the time been.we need an outing sometime soon like deffo.

You think the vibration is been amplified through the mount ?

Yeah I think it's to do with the guard because it didn't vibrate until I refitted the guard but it also didn't vibrate when the guard was fitted with the 410 box I'll have a look at it next week, it's not a bad vibration and its only at low speed.

I recon you'll be ok with 235/75's with the 1.6 engine but you might need a bigger lift or trim your arches.
Yeah defiantly need a trip out you should be able to lead a group now looks like you've been out loads in yours. I haven't been out for ages in mine because Smoggy's thinking about selling his and Croc's is off the road so I've got no one to go laning with.
