There are people importing them in to the UK, here is one

www.qualityautos.co.uk/vehicle/suzuki-ji...f4-8266-e9b49f5d66e1

A snip at just under £36,000

It won't have a Suzuki warranty but the seller is giving a 3 year warranty. You probably want to view Martin's guide before purchasing.

We don't get the 5-door in the EU either. But I have a cunning plan: a few years from now, when my Gen4 is just an unremarkable old car, I am going to secretly rebuild it on a 5-door frame as an "extended 3-door commercial." If I do it well perhaps the MOT man will not notice...

Made a little modification to my 5 door today, unlike the 3 door the seats don't fold down flat on the 5 door.
so a trip to the hardware store for some suitable eyelets and some straps, and now I can force the seats down nice and flat.

That is really interesting about the rear seats Bob. I can't help thinking they have regressed the design with the 5 door and is looking like the older Gen 3. As you mention the seats in the 3 door Gen 4 fold completely flat, which from a load carrying point of view is much better.

3 door Gen 4 with the seats folded down

The angle of the seats on the 5 door is very much the same as the Gen 3, sloping up towards the front, but in a standard Gen 3 the small boot is lower then the seat, whereas in your 5 door the rear boot is significantly higher than the back of the seats. I made a load carrier out of plywood to give me a flat area in a Gen 3, you could do something similar here if it is a problem.

My guess is the floor pan is to blame, but still a bit surprising Suzuki have done this after getting it right on the 3 door.

On the 5 door the rear boot is actually lower than the back of the folded rear seats - what you're seeing in his picture is some sort of a false floor.

I found this from a place in NZ, I'm going to be importing one, as it will make the 5 door the same as the 3 door only bigger.

Good additional storage and much flatter seats, it's the perfect solution for a problem that suzuki never should have let happen to start with.
After all they did such a good job with the 3 door design.
Better yet, would have been a folding forward rear seat system, but no point wishing fir that now.
