Would aftermarket LED headlights fit in place of an OEM LED?

Retro fit LED bulbs can dim during use due to heat and current drop or thermal regulation. But a factory setup shouldn't really be suffering with this.
I really don't mind halogen lights and have several vehicles running halogen. But a good LED headlight is significantly better and the ones in the Jimny are some of the best I've experienced.

Do you have any reference for this? Personally I'm not convinced. I have been heavily into LED torches for well over a decade and have built and modded many torches as well as spotlights and headlights with LED bulbs. I've never heard of or seen any evidence that LED dim over time. In fact I recent lumen tested one of my oldest LED torches in my lightbox and it still makes bang on the rated figures. The dirty little secret of LEDs is that they dim with use. If you drive a lot, after a few years the lights won't be as bright and there isn't much you can do about it. If cooling is really good and the components are fully shockproofed, they stay brighter for longer.

I don't know if any are made that would pass an MOT. There is stuff on eBay and AliExpress, but it's probably terrible and illegal.

LED lighting is so good now that light output doesn't really dim with age, possibly cheap LEDs that are run with too much current might do.
Also lifetime of a LED is really good and if you can get a repair kit for £100 that is a lot better than a new unit costing £500 or £1,000.
Nothing wrong with Halogen of course, it's just LED light is sharper as it is fewer wavelengths and so looks brighter to the eye for the same light output.
