This engine can handle half bar of boost with standard internals. Been done a lot on Suzuki swifts. They actually put the liana engine in as it has a low compression ratio compared to the high compression ratio one in the Suzuki swift sport. Also I paid £280 for the engine plus abit cleaning the head up at the machine shop. Forging it will cost thousands, not to concerned about the engine.

Can you send me some information on the pistons and rods? Do they come with all the rings etc. I might get a newer m16a engine and build it on the side

Hey guys,
i know this isn't about turboing or other force induction but I've found this 2013 s cross with a m16a vvt engine and I was wondering if I could just rip it out and put it in my 2006 vvt jimny? Or would I need an ecu, I'm looking for a bunch of the same answer cause I've had two guys tell me different things.

You need an 05' to 10' engine, the trigger wheels changed and post 10' engines will not run on earlier ECU's.... Suzuki Liana bolts straight in...

Have been trying to decipher the wiring diagram, got the hang of most it. Pretty much all the wiring will be retained and the ECU will take the old ones place. The 4x4 vacuum module will be disabled and I will need to get manual front hubs in the future. I am going to use the vacuum hub line nipple from the inlet manifold and run a 3mm hose to the onboard map sensor to the ECU.

This is the electrical hardware that cost me a small fortune. I decided to get a digital wideband controller as they are more reliable and enables closed boost control. The boost controller will keep tabs on the waste gate creeping open.

*analogue or digital wideband makes closed boost control possible. You can get away with a narrow band controller and have the dyno use there own wideband o2 sensor on a stick stuffed in the exhaust to map the car.
