Sorted out the lack of a handbrake issue too... as Ill be running two front axles (hopefully four wheel steer eventually!) and disk brakes with fiddles on the rear, it would be hard to use even Megane calipers with handbrake cables if the rear steers...

So thanks to Riccy for the idea... I contacted RW and he's sending me a couple of transfer box brakes off SJ410 boxes (one for spare parts when necessary) so that I'll have a transfer handbrake! B)

Remember all that discussion we had on the beginning of this thread about if I used a front axle on the rear, some thought it would turn the wrong way, but for all my finger twirling in our shop I swore it would turn the right way...?

So I don't need to flip the diff, and the dif pan to suit...? ;)

Result! B)

Me & Baloo 1 Riccy & Roger Nil  ;)

i would have put big money on us being right Dave,  back in the day i used to swap front and rear diffs on landrover almost on a daily basis as they exploded when you went over a speed hump       its a common misconception that  front and rears are different  the fact that you rotate it to face the other way  means it will turn in the direction that you require,
anyway your buggy looks like it has great potential  and is firing my enthusiam   i had my tyres dropped of my rims yesterday so i can get them shot blasted ,  do you remember this ?

It was Alan Chambers    or Diesel destroyer as he posted under, he lives in chatanooga now,  it has arb difflocks front and back  with DG tuning shafts and vw diesel engine, hence  my desire to use those axles with those mach 5 wheels

It looks a little worse for wear now   but  its axles will live again,   there's a spare jimny alloy on it if you want it for a spare

seeing your bits laid out on the floor   makes me want to change track with mine, i was going to go completely standard jimny chassis and suspension  just to speed things up   but now im thinking i could make my own  but i doubt i could make something as light as a suzuki chassis and as strong  so im going round in circles lol

what engine and transmission are you planning on using ?
