made a start on the winch bumper today and ordered a winchit 13000lb winch with dynarope bit cheep and cheerfull but it will do me still need to finish the sides of bumper but need to get some thinner sheet steel and some cleaning up of welds and paint

puney winch coming out and off with the stupid scafold poles some idiot put on there and weigh a ton







bumpers going to be unboltable but winch tray is fixed

needs some holes in front but ill wait for the winch to know were there going i hope there template is right or im in the poo

as i said its not finished the side are yet to go on and if you look at any winch bumper thats how they are pretty much a box in middle and triangle bits on the sides

Sorry... Missed that first line :)

But you're gonna need to make some holes, for access to the winch :)

When I finally get round to making mine I will be leaving the top open and having a giant a bar mounted above

ya if you look at the front you can see ive drawn on it with my finger holes are going some were there, one each side,one for hawse, one just to see the rope on the spool (check for tangles etc) hole in top for view and maybe access to the lever (that mine be accessable from front hole) the skid plate bit is getting a load of holesaw bits drilled in it (to lose some weight and for cleaning).
bumper is made from 5mm sheet so its very strong but a little heavy so ill lose some with holes the side trianle sort of bits are going in 2mm sheet as there just for show if they get to damaged ill just replaced
undisided of finish yet powdercoat would be nice and i get it free but dont know if i can be bovered to wait

Sod the weight am having a 1.6 fitted after crimbo and my roll cage ain't going to be light so what difference is a few kgs make

I would go diesel ideally but the 1.6 is cheep and simple may be once I have killed the 1.6 I might
