Got the gearbox in last night so went straight on with the hub. Got it out, and pressed out the worn bearing last night.
Put the new bearing in the freezer over night, and this morning I heated the hub to 200 degrees with a blow torch.
The new bearing just slid straight in and there was no need for a press.
A puddle of oil has formed under the hub during the time it sat in the garage.
So putting new seals in the hub and knuckle tonight and also changing the shaft seal.
hoping for a test drive later

Changed the shaft seal last night, got the hub back in and filled the diff and gearbox with oil. couldnt get the filler cap off the gearbox so filled the correct volume of oil thru the vent hose. That is slow but still easier than trying to get the filler plug off without a tool that can get up between the transmission tunnel and the gearbox.
Test drive done. Appears I forgot to put the gearstick back in properly. But all gears work fine when i found them.
Just a short drive. Put the car back in the garage for the next job tonight, and to see if there still is any leaks.
Also doing a bit of underseal on a few missed spots.
Will try to put a 100A alternator from a S-cross in my jimny tonight.

So the alternator from SX4 Scross is just the same build dimension and same diameter wheel as the original jimny alternator. All m13 and m16 are most likely all the same.
It fits just fine and except for the connectors it is all plug and play
With 100A it is not a too big upgrade, but if you would like a bigger or second battery, this will do in most cases.
The jimny alt have three pins where only two is used. The one with White / red is for the charge lamp in the dash and all you need to hook up to the single pin on the 100A alt.
The plus connector is bigger on the SX4 but you should get an extra or New wire to the battery anyway.
Charging now is Great even when my victron 30A lithium charger kick in.
