I made a start on the rock sliders today however I really need to get a new bulb in my garage as I started to run out of light too dam early this afternoon.
All held in position… however I think I may chamfer the ends before welding them up.

Bracing all cut up to weld to the chassis

I am hoping I can find some time over the next couple of days to get everything tidied up and tacked up ready to drop off with my mate to weld up fully. Before painting and then back down to be welded on to the chassis.

Not just any cheap lift kit. But preferably an uprated one with stronger springs. Like the ORA kits :)

have a look at the off road armory ones and the ones in the big jimny shop and try bits4vits, jimny bits and KAP (bit pricey from KAP tho)

Thanks Guys, I am going to pull some bits togehter as and when funds will allow that way I can get rid of these spring spacers and do a proper lift.

I little photo update :) Rock sliders are all tacked up and now with my mate being welded up fully, I hope to have these all done early in the week, they still need ends caps on and painting once i get them back.

Thanks guys.

I finished off my rock sliders today!! My mate finished welding them for me Thursday and after a good coat of paint Thursday evening I fitted them on this evening. Dam its cold! :S :S
A few crappy phone pics, it started to get dark so I will get a few more over the weekend with a decent camera.

Unfortunately the passenger side does not fit as well as the driver’s side as there is a bigger gap between the bottom of the side skirt and the bar however I don’t think it will be an issue. I am sure I can sort something if it annoys me.

B) B) I had a few goodies turn up in the post today, Jimnybits 2" lift springs courtesy of Bish and 3 procomp ES3000 shocks courtesy of myers647. I just need to get the shocks painted up and buy another matching front shock and I should be all good.

I can't decide if I will just fit the springs or pack them out with the 2" spacers I already have to give a little extra lift (I could always cut the spacers down to an inch so i don't go to the full 4" lift), obviously I will then need to think about caster correction etc if I go that route.

just remember if your going up idle you need to go out as it will get top heavy.... spacers or off set rims and probably a bigger set off boots to get the diffs up off the floor being as you'll have the room in the arch now
