Well that makes sense really I did about 100 miles in it and it used about half a tank of fuel so about right, just surprised me a little, I suspose with it being a little under powered I did have my foot down fairly hard on some of the uphill streached of the M25.

Chuckled when u mentioned fuel economy, its bit disapointing for a 1.3. But like peeps have said, those tires will be draggin quite a bit, plus its about as areo dynamic as your house!

Get some road wheels/tires if you plan on doin alot of road miles. Im going to get some for next summer.

Sponnie, your right about the aerodynamics and tires,

I donâ€™t plan of doing too many road miles in it, I have my daily hack for that so I may just leave these on there as changing them around all the time may be a bit of a pain. If a set come up at a bargain price I will always grab them as in the summer I could probably get away with all terrains if doing some light laning.

When I drive mine on the motorway the needle on the petrol guage goes down at about the same speed as the rev counter goes up :unsure:

Looks like you bought quite a capable Jimny! Fuel consumption is something I dare not think about! I think we may aswell have a v8! If only having half a v8 meant half the fuel consumption! It is because we have to use wide open throttle alot. Never mind, at least it's not a Landrover!
