Yes mate it was the switch on the gearbox, luck I had a spare one in the shed, thank you darthloachie and supergaz for you help. B)

Glad you sorted your reverse light switch. Where I thought I'd blown a shaft it turned out to only be a manual hub that had failed, I could have bodged it easily if I had known it was that :( so now I have been forced to order new shiny AVM hubs, insure and book my Jimny in for a MOT and then tax it ready for SNOW.

I have sold my jimny to a new member on this website his user name is chas662, so I hope he has as much fun driving the jimny as i did, I know you will all make feel at home.

Definately looking forward to taking her for some off road fun, She is definately a beatiful specimin of the Jimny kind! Thanks again for everything mate, will definately be sure to post lots of pics whenever I do take her for an adventure! For now she shall sit in pride of place in the yard!
