Are you drilling a hole in the wheel cover behind the plate for the wiring?
I might do that on mine then the plug can be behind the plate.

Yes the number plate wiring is fed through a hole between the centre of the bushes. :-)

You can also use your old number plate on the caravan :)

@Gilburton thanks for your help it's all done and wired in.
To be fair I used a speaker cable as it was two wires together, but I'm concerned about it rubbing through. I'm not too concerned with the load on the cable as the lights just a LED lamp so I doubt it'll use many amps.
So I may use thicker wire :-/
