Yes, I know yours is fine, it depends on how they generate their reference voltage, some are designed to to be able to connect as a battery monitor, some aren't.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

I bought a voltmeter on e-bay from China for £2-20p inc p&p,it only took 9 days to arrive.It plugs into the cigarette lighter,no cutting or drilling and it works great.

Yeah, there's all kinds of crap available, but like I said in the first post, I like to keep it nice and clean. So no taped-on-the-dash volt meters for me with wires hanging all over the cabin... :whistle:

Take a look at the ones like i got on e-bay,no wires,tape or cutting of the facia,just plug it into the cigarette lighter,very neat and it takes about 5 seconds to fit or remove.
