Now that's a good question, I want to wire a switch in, do you want them to come on anytime with the switch or with the main beam but with a option to turn then of?

With the the main beam with the option to turn them off.

Just a on/off switch would do it between the relay an the switch wire for the main beam would do that.
That's what I will do I think,

What I was thinking aswell the earth triggers the relay then the lights come on.

You could have a switch to light it on its own just by an earth leading to the relay with a switch, I think

You mean earth the switch to the body of the jimny, will save you using the red wire as a trigger on the light socket.
so they come on even if the light are off
