A very neat looking solution to your light-bar switch Scimike.

Today I finally fitted a fastback roof on mine. I'd bought it a while ago and its been sitting around. but I needed to get the main hood off the car to do some repairs to it;. the monsoon hoods are ok, but they arent great.

For anyone thinking of a fastback roof, If you have small kids, they can still use the seats in the back but the headrests will be need to be taken out. An adult would find it cramped.

My main reason for fitting this is that its much less fabric to fold up when you want the roof open, and as my name Max Headroom implies, I like the roof open a lot! I also think it looks quite funky when the roof is up :) B)

Thanks Lambert

There seems to be slightly less wind-noise with this fitted compared to the standard hood

A little more restrictive in the rear  but I'm wondering it will also help the cockpit warm up quicker in winter

Finished wiring my light bar via the Ariel route.
I had to use a thinner cable first fed from the top as a "path finder", then I pulled the final cable in from the bottom. It enters the car just above the front driver side speaker. Hole in mount sealed with Cyno glue as the drilled hole was a nice tight fit to the cable.

The only negative is this route puts the power cable in close proximity to the Ariel (obvious), so I can hear the diode switching buzz slightly on the FM radio. Not an issue for me as I stream / MP3 my music, but one to note if anyone else wants to take this route.

I have at work some thin Stainless steel flexible conduit, so planning to make a cosmetic cover to protect the cable further and maybe experiment with it as a RF shield to reduce or eliminate the noise on FM.

Final cable entry point

Test drive, full main beam (150% brighter bulbs) at play here, so brighter than standard.

And then add the light bar, same bit of road, no camera tricks
That will do, pleased with that

Scimike... I know its a bit late now, but you could look at a shielded power cable to reduce the noise on the FM aerial...

Hell of a difference with the lightbar on, looks good :-)

Hell of a difference with the light bar, Scimike. Well worth the effort.
