Its funny I get more of a kick out of cleaning stuff down and for instance getting it powder coated, or freshened up than getting new stuff what is that.

rare as a rare thing me thinks,  i dont think they were ever made as stock you had to order them with the suzuki stud patten, i have a set of toyota ones as well  i guess they are called mach 6's  as they have 6 spokes due to the 6 stud fitting lol
 

I just think they are the most attractive wheel in the world. Especially if finished in bronze.

ive welded all the holes up in the chassis but no pics as a bit boring,   i might weld an air line fitting in it and see if it will hold air over night that will tell me if l have any leaks anywhere

l also found this on youtube, i think its quite cute,  i will try and roll some tube like that but obviously with a jimny chassis and axles instead of what appears to be vw beetle running gear

i agree  it needs a B post or maybe  two 6" apart to stop rocks protruding into the cabin when it falls over
not that ive got that many rocks or things that would do that in my back garden
 

well i thought i was just going to jet wash the axles paint them and pop them in.............  how stupid of me 
while the front was on the bench l tried turning the pinion  .....  it would only go half  way then go really tight...
better open them up and have a look l suppose

plenty of water in with the oil

and plenty of sand packed in the hubs  

but im sure i can sort it out

I really hear you man. The other thing that happens to me is, "while I have it out you'd be best off replacing ........everything.
Your build is interesting to me because I find it difficult to understand the ecu etc and how you are going to make the ecu think everything is ok now please start engine.

Transplanting engines with ECUs isn't too bad if you have the whole donor car. I've done it a few times. Basically I carefully pull out the whole loom then plug everything together on the floor and make sure the engine still runs. After that it's a case of referring to the wiring diagrams and stripping out everything that isn't engine related. Immobilisers can be a pain, especially if they have a few sneaky undocumented wires in there just to catch you out.
