Thanks
Just checked the system with the Wiki guide.
The 4WD system is locked in 4H and 4L , but no vacuum sound. So I guess the system is permanently locked in 4WD when selected. Also the indicator light goes on in stead of blinking.
No issue for me (I think) because I drive it not very often, so I don’t need the freewheeling. I’m thinking of just leaving it this way and remove the vacuum system lines.

Took the Jimny out on a off road trip yesterday.
We had a blast, and really got the chance to test its off road capabilities.
Did have an issue with the 4WD system, after 3 hours of climbing, mudding and bashing the sand dunes the 4WD indicator light started blinking. Also it smelled a bit like burnt oil. At that point we went back home, after some time in 2WD the 4WD system worked properly again and the indicator light stopt blinking. Maybe the transfer box to hot?
Also we found out it needs a lift
Some pictures:
Back home all dirty:
Edit: Small footnote: The bedliner looks awesome and is massively though, but cleaning it is a “challenge”.
