Superb weekend guys, Thanks for the blog Dave, fantastic as always
That Tynehead lane has got to be on the most dangerous roads list surely! Wouldnt fancy that ford that pushes sideways in icy conditions :woohoo:

My S200KYS Jimny is due an MOT in early October, so it's time to make some preparations towards it...
The windscreen has had a couple of cracks in it for sometime, but it passed last year as they were out of the designated visibility zones dictated in the MOT, this year it has a couple more cracks and the old ones have spread a bit -
So on Wednesday of this week I rang the insurance company and after some questioning it's booked in for this coming Tuesday, so this morning I prepared it ready for the mobile windscreen replacement guy...
I made the front loop so that it could come off for things like this... so it's bolted to the back section with 10mm bolts on each side...
And fastened down under the front soft-top roof section on each side with four massive pop rivets...
So, un-bolt the bolts, drill out the rivets, and the ones that hold the snorkel guard to the snorkel, and then pop indoors and drag the youngest daughter's boyfriend off the sofa, and get him to work through his hangover and help me lift the front section off -
Having stuck it on the drive he then went back for more coffee and another nap The youth of today...
I then removed the wipers, the grill under the windscreen, got the snorkel out of the way with a block of wood, and then cleaned everything thoroughly so it's all ready for the windscreen guy to do his bit on Tuesday...
I didn't want him turning up and refusing to do it if the bars and snorkel where in the way...
Meanwhile, my electrical gremlin has been identified (it wouldn't start on the Northumberland weekend, but it would run... so we carried on for the two days trying not to stall anywhere as it would mean a jump start!)... turns out the battery is furbared and was only chucking out 11 volts, so a new one is on order and will turn up tomorrow, Monday...
Just needs a bad connection / earth sorting out on the offside brake light / indicator, and a popping out radius arm bush sorting, and then it's ready for it's MOT just after our next trip to the Lake District on the 7th of October... And then, no doubt, I'll probably have a list of things to sort out for the MOT?!
