Well the part finally turned up today after nearly 3 weeks of waiting :( I have re-tapped the Diff casing thread as it looks like there is enough metal to form a decent thread. As you can see from the picture, the new adapter also has considerably more thread!

When the rear axle was ripped off its mount it looks as if the air fitting for the ARB locker was damage. The air fitting consists of pipework fitted through what ARB call a bulkhead fitting. A while ago I replaced the exhaust on "LittleJimny". Since then I have had great difficulty in getting it to seal. It is a sprung loaded flexible joint so should be a "dry" seal with no sealant or gasket, just a stainless steel mesh ring.
