This is the Suzuki kit produced as a modification in a Suzuki Technical Bulletin for the dreaded "Death Wobble"

The kit consists of two replacement bushes for the rear of the control arms and shims for the bottom kingpin bearing.

Please note:

1. The Suzuki guide states that all other actions should have been carried out first (ie. checking of Kingpin bearings, Wheel bearings, Wheel Balancing and front disk run out), this is a last resort after these other areas have been looked at.

2. This modification is recommended for Jimnys up to VIN: JSAFJB43V00422454. Jimnys after this number have already been modified in production

3. You Jimny may have already been modified - you can check the number on the bushes fitted, if you have bushes marked 46213-65D then these could be a problem.

4. This kit requires a heavy duty press to remove and install the bushes and a spring balance is recommended for the shims

5. Additonal instructions will be included in the kit.

After discovering a badly leaking oil seal I decided to take my 07 jimny off the road for a couple of weeks renewed all shims and seals, bushings. After a few bruised and bleeding knuckles,it was well worth. It has never been so smooth and quiet. Highly recommended.Steve (12 Jan 2022, 15:30)

No more wobble.

These bushings cured 95% of my 80km/h and braking wobble. Haven't tried adding shims yet but will try that next. Since the install I have noticed a slight imbalance in one of my front wheels and I suspect this is what triggered the wobble in the first place. So this has to be fixed also. You will need a bushing press with a 42mm insert to get the old ones out and the new ones in. The entire operation took ~2hours and would have been even quicker if I had access to a hydraulic press.ThomasDT (27 Feb 2015, 23:17)
