It's the first time I can recall this one mentioned on here so you might well be an early adopter. There are a few people with turbos with varying degrees of power and reliability especially on the gen3 but most seem to like the idea. My only concern is that it seems quite an expensive process especially when you set reliability against power increase, by that I mean there could be merit in a motor swap that gives a similar increase in power and not risking a rod through the block.

One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

Fun stuff they get in Oz. (Fun is banned here in the EU.)

A supercharger would seem a better fit for a 4x4 than a turbo, but then I am old-fashioned.

My only feedback on the turbo kit is that it looks well-thought-out, it is decently priced, and it is going to show you all the weaknesses of the Jimny's kei-derived drivetrain.

Surely with the Jimny being RWD when on the road, the first time you give it some gas and the turbo spools up, the vehicle will be straight off the road and through the nearest hedge.

They don't grip well even with the standard engine. lf you apply anything other than gentle acceleration out of a corner when it's raining the traction control immediately works overtime on our Gen 4.

You would probably want to put a couple of bags of sand in the back to improve grip.

Although l have to say it is better since we fitted the Geolanders.
