I guess the paper one was well blocked when you swapped it for the K'n'N.

I don't know about the K&N for the Jimny, but a K&N on my bike was worth an extra 5% in extra performance...

Yeah, on a bike.
My old one easily did 185 with 4 mesh KnN's on.
With standard filter & box, only 170.
Obviously only on the track or ze German autobhan. ;)

Jimny with its wheezing 70 to 90 bhp ain't going to notice that much.
5 to 10% improvement on next to nil power is nearly nil. LOL!

i have k&n, and as a single modification there is little difference but when you swap the plugs, ht leads & filter at once there is a definite improvement.

i had one on the old sj too.

as they say at tesco; every little helps :side:

Hello. The K&N filters are suppose to increase air flow right? Wouldn't that mean that when you are going offroad more dirt will enter the engine ?

I thought that the maximum air flow that you can get is by completely removing your air filter. Then the more you filter the air the less air flow you will get. Did i get it wrong in my mind or something ?

if you increase the surface area of the filter you can filter more air at once thus increasing airflow..
