Replied by B3Hulk on topic Tyre Pressure for 215/75/R15 ?
They asked for my Vehicle Details - Model , Make, Year, Engine Size and also details on the tyre.

I provided them with my Vin and the photo below:

That chart is what they provided

Fair enough if they had the vin they should be able to get the axle weights to help work it all out. Just don't be surprised if you find the ride a bit too firm.

This supports my own experiences with 215/75R15 Yokohamas. Running at stock pressures or lower made them visibly baggy and fuel economy suffered. They look 'right' at 28-30psi and fuel economy is more acceptable.

If you lower to 10 PSI won't the tpms go crazy ?
One of my standard tyres went from 180 to 170 and my whole dashboard went orange warning me I was gonna die soon !

If you put larger tyres on the gen4 with higher pressure, won't the tpms system go crazy all the time ?

The tpms is a simple system. As long as it sees over 1.6 bar as an absolute minimum it is happy. It doesn't have an upper limit.

Yes it gets very cross. It's another case of one system being used across an entire range of vehicles because it's cheaper than designing a separate system for a specific application that has unique requirements. Also you can't turn it off even with an obd tool, you can just reset it but it will go off again soon immediately. Really helpful when the terrain requires 12psi all day.

I'm really glad we don't have TPMS on our local Jimny's, it would drive me absolutely insane. I run 1.5 bar (22 psi) on road and 0.5 bar (7 psi) off-road.

HR version here came from factory with 215x75 R15! However, It also came with the jampanese pressure recomendation (based in the 205x70 R15 (23front 26 rear). Good for gasoline economy, but very hard drive! Also, the original schocks did not last too much (not economic at the end). I changed suspension to OME and use 22 front -24 rear, most of the time. Soft sand drive, have to reduce to even 8 without problems! BF| ATs.
