Go here and enter the vin number and you should get an owners manual?

www.suzuki.co.uk/cars/owners/my-useful-info/owners-handbooks

As markyp2000 has said if you can tell us the area where the car is maybe someone on here can have a look or recommend someone??
Did it come from a Suzuki dealer? If so they should be able to help you.
The Jimny only gets around 30/35 mpg and the tank is not large.

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)

She says when she put it in 2wd nothing happens what is she expecting to happen

Put yar foot on the clutch and press 2wd or read the owners manual if it has one failing that take it back to the usless sales man who didnt do a hand over correctly and get him to go though it with her

How thirsty is it? It has a small tank and even with standard tyres and no modifications it will do 37mpg if driven carefully. I have all-terrain tyres and drive carefully but only get 33mpg.

If you can't be in 4wd on dry Tarmac or going fast why do Suzuki say you can engage 4wd at speeds of up to 60kph?

Because not all roads are tarmac, any loose surface could be used

So why not on dry Tarmac? Is there too much grip when steering to cause problems?

The Jimny doesn't have a centre diff so in 4WD all the wheels try to fight each other and cause wind up.
It can only be used on slippery surfaces.
Mud,snow,ice,gravel etc.
It's that very lack of a centre diff that makes it so good OFF road!
