I have used my Samsung GS2 which is great but it has to be on the inside of the J an of course the windscreen is always dirty.
Also finding a phone holder that does not move can be tricky.
I also find that it does not like bright sunshine so slightly overcast days are better.

Clas Ohlson do a Faux-Pro camera. Not sure how it stacks up against the GoPro but it is half the price and has lots of accesories.

I think the e prance records in a loop so will erase previous footage, seems to be more for catching traffic accidents etc.

Have a look at Hama 32G Gold SD cards in CPC - I have used a lot of them (even for professional video) and never had a problem. They are made in Germany and are Class 10, and are therefore fast enough for video. Just make sure your camera can work with a Class 10 card - some can't! Here is the link:

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationthis holder is mega cheap and really does the job also, does 360 degree swivel so can mount most places on the windscreen, as the phone is mounted directly on the mount and not via a flexible arm theres hardly any wobble (will try with a piece of foam) done track days with it and my iphone and not bad
