That tread pattern is used by a few different tyre brands also I think is a mud tyre so make general road worse than it already is, if you're changing the tyres mainly for looks & a bit of laning personally I think you'll be better of with a set of ATs have a look at these tyresdirectuk.co.uk/shop/product-info.ph...8-AT-Tyres-&id=31871 a friend has these on his Discovery & says their as good as BFG & Grabber ATs @ a good price.

215/75 R15s will fit a pre-facelift without a lift or trimming the arches. That might give you a bit more choice.

I have 215/75 x15s BFG All Terrain on mine and don't find them noisy on the road at all and we have a rough surface on the roads where we live. They are pricey but I think they look good, hopefully be a lot of snow to try them out too.

Or you could have a look at Yokohama Geolander AT/S in a standard fit of 205/70/15

Don't listen to those guys who are too afraid to even try mud tires, and just get those Extreme Evolutions! Those are maybe the best "all terrain" tires you can get. Very good offroad traction on any surface, mud, snow, trail etc and they work pretty good on the road too, very smooth and quiet ride. Real AT's mean that they are equally crappy on all terrain, so they are no good on the road, and also terribly bad off the road!

You won't be disappointed, I guarantee that! B)

I take it you're one of those AT guys...

On road tires are brilliant on road, and AT's are good at best. But AT's being "more than capable offroad", well that's BS!

To me, those basic MT's are not even real offroad tires, so they work very well on road too! Some TSL's, Bogger's, Fedima Sirocco's etc are real MUD tires, and those are crappy on road, but you'll do just fine with some Extreme Evolutions, KL71's and BFG MT's and such!

I have used many different mud tires over the years, so I know something about how they perform, so I don't know where you pull all your so called facts...

Define off road?

ATs are good on road and in snow and good for going across fields and on landrovers going up a gravel drive

MTs are like it says on the tin mud terrain nothing else shit in snow and on the road

Boggers again like it says on the tin boggy conditions thats it

Then the good old road tyre M&S shit in mud and in snow

You cant win reaper as paul obviously knows every thing there is to know about every thing from suspension & tyres & his arse from his elbow

Looking again at the original post, he says he wants something a bit chunky that looks good & maybe for offroading, which would suggest most of the driving would be on road so ATs would be great, also the "Fedima Extreme Evolution" are a remould which allegedly are a lot better than they used to be & probably great if you spend all your spare time putting your truck into big muddy holes & have a second car as a daily driver, but if most of their life is going to on road I prefer having new radials.
