Think I may hang on and check out the speakers you have in the back of yours Halford, had a brief look at your guide and it didn't seem overly difficult to do!
I can make this my first little jimny project!

I upgraded them in my first Jimjam with just fronts and it made quite a difference so adding rears too with the same will be loads better!

They are 10cm ones I put some Sony ones in the back of mine the wires don't seen to go to the drivers one though only routed to the passenger side

Hi JW63, yes all posts are correct. They are 4" for both front and rear. The clearance behind the front ones (depth) is about 50mm, the rears are nearly 100mm. Yes for some strange reason the wiring to the rear ones is on the passenger side. There is a small terminal which sits just about on the top of the wheel arch. its an easy job to do, just extend the wiring across to the drivers side. The holes in the back are already pre-drilled.
If you have not taken the old front ones out yet, you are in for a surprise, I have got bigger fridge magnets than what is on what they call an excuse for a speaker. I have just fitted some cheapish Vibe Slick 4, not the most expensive but I am not a Hi-Fi guru, but the difference is still amazing.
here are a couple of links to follow. Brilliant piece of work with pictures showing every step.

I think I'll be popping to my local Halfords in the next few days for some new front speakers as my normal car has an awesome set up I brought across from my last car as the speakers were the same size and the speakers alone cost £200.00 about 5 -6 years ago! Therefore when I play music in the Jimjam and listen to the distorting standard speakers as I try to drown out the transfer box whine it sounds crap!

I think putting some small boxes with larger speakers mounted in on the plastic mouldings in the rear may be easier than stripping it all out in the back just to fit more small speakers. You can then fit some much bigger and better quality speakers.

I've only had a glance in the rear when thinking about it but a bit of MDF and time with the thinking cap on would provide a good solution me thinks!
