At first in the MOT station, the Boogie was racing slightly...

Dave kindly hooked it up to a diagnostic panel -

 

And found the ECU thought the air intake temperature sensor  (sensor on the airbox) was showing the incoming air was at 27 degrees C ?!

This was causing the engine to run briskly to try and cool itself down (water pump and viscous fan?) so I've just ordered -

 

A new sensor which should be here Friday / Saturday (I did check the BigJimny shop first! ;) )

So that should fix that high tickover issue... and a bargain at a tenner...

(I did wonder if the angle grinder sparks may have upset it when it was dangling in the engine bay?) 

Just a new radator, cap, belts, plugs, etc to give the engine a bit of a makeover... :)

Golf?

Nah! - maintenance inbetween trips
Sneaking out when the weather is fine
Learning to fly my drone and make some good videos
Still got some storage solutions to make for the Boogie...

Yes, I was nervous about having missed something simple / obvious, I was shocked when Dave said it had passed! :woohoo:
