How do i get the fascia off? was created by M19163798P
(Im new here so apologies if this is in the wrong thread or location..)
I am trying to remove the fascia to get the stock radio out of my 2017 Jimny to replace it with a better one. So can someone help me figure out how to get the fascia off? I've taken the ash tray out and removed the 2 obvious screws there but there is one deeper in which is extremely tight and i cannot get it loose. If i can get that one out then what do i have to do? I assume you have to disconnect the cigarette ligher power at some point but i dont know how. Thanks in advance for any advice!

sorry I missed out that particular instruction
place thumb and forefinger on opposite sides of the circular cigarette lighter top and with a firm grip pull the lighter out of the socket, should you experience difficulty gripping the lighter top you could first push in the lighter so it heats and will then pop-out slightly when ready thereby making it easier to grip and remove.
be very careful though as the other end of the lighter can get very hot and may cause injury

Thank you so much! and with the wires coming out the back of it, you can just pull the plastic bit off? i dont want to beak it.. Also one more question while youre here. In the picture next to "Next, undo the x3 screws holding the
ashtray guide and remove" that back screw is soo tight and i cant get it out. it doesnt even seem to screw into anything, just pokes through two pieces of metal? Is there a particular way to get it out other than just with a screwdriver?..
sorry for the silly questions i dont have much experience with tis stuff but i really want to learn.

It's basically a large self tapper the same as the other 2.
Make sure you have a screwdriver or bit that fits properly by trying various bits in the screws you have removed. If it keeps slipping/jumping out it's either worn or you have the wrong size.
Couple of things to try if using a screwdriver and it's long enough if it has a square just under the handle put a spanner on it to get some leverage while pushing it against the screw or put some molegrips on the screwdriver handle.
Lastly use the correct size bit in a socket/ratchet.
