Jimny Gen3 87/17% TG-kit, low geared transfer case, push button.
After new silent tires and discovering other noises, I have settled with the m16a power coping with 235/original transfer gears. The stronger clutch too copes. And for highway driving it is OK now.
But for offroad the original gears will not do.
So i have been looking into maybe the protrack 7%/77% gears would fit the car better, or maybe I like the SUMO billet gears idea wich should reduce noise and improve fit for the chain.
Still have not given up on the old transfer case completley though.
is it maybe possible to buy just some of the gears from trail gear? so I can keep the low range but swap the worn chain sprockets? I'll send some mails to ask.
If not I could even machine the combination sprocket so I can use original high range and keep the low range at 70%. Made two gears into one many times some years ago to make my own 4.16:1 Samurai transfer case from one 410 and one 413. I think I sold 4 or 5 and still got one of them to go in another SJ.
