In the UK the cost of replacing those parts would be significantly less than the cost of manual hubs.
Here in Colombia, a single automatic hub goes for 650 dollars (DERCO, Autozen, Suzuki authorized dealers)! On eBay for 178 dollars + shipping. That's why 150 dollars for both manual hubs is way cheaper and would stop the problem. And an original freewheel spindle must be imported and costs $220. Or eBay $158 + shipping. Crazy prices here. Last time I wanted to buy an original ignition coil and the price was over $190...
Once you have linked the wires in the vacuum switch connector it shouldn't matter what you do with the vacuum hoses, but leaving them looped or blocked is the best option.
Ok so no matter what I do with the vacuum hoses, right, but if I keep the system "as it is", I only got a flashing light, no double fast flashing lights error. If I start to mess with the connector bridging, I get the error.
