4WD and 4WD-L lights start flashing randomly when driving in 2WD mode. They may keep flashing for half an hour, then stop, and then again. It doesn't matter if I'm moving or stalling.
Both 4WD and 4WD-low modes are working as they are supposed to. I have found no driving defects, except for the lights that keep flashing with the pattern in this video.
The mechanic checked for vacuum leaks and found nothing.
The electrician checked the 4WD module signal and made me change both switches in the transfer box, part 37630-76J20.
I have had these lights flashing for more than 5000 km and four months. Could you help me? What can I check now?

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The only thing left is the actuator on the transfer box, it has a limit switch that can go wrong.
Check all the wiring for broken wires/corroded connectors.

Mine does this fast blinking when the vacuum switch valves (below the battery) freeze up and stick during cold and below -5 C periods. I hold a bag of warm water to the valves and the blinking calms down and I can shift it into 4x4 again. Never happens when it is warm.
I had the valves out and lubed and dried them a few times to the best of my ability so they work much better now but sometimes they still stick.
I have just bought a new to me set of valves used that I will swap in soon.
Or maybe next year as there is most likely not coming more cold weather now, I am ready for the spring in just a few weeks!
