That would be very kind if you can post pic and number.New boy wrote: I replaced the original strut with a slightly longer one from a Vitara.
This allowed the door to open fully and enables my gun drawer to open fully
I can get you the part number from the strut or pics if that helps

The important thing is the overall length which is 51CM. I just measured the one on the Vitara at the Suzuki garage.
It is stronger than the Jimny strut but I found the original one had no resistance to wind when out in the field. This one holds the open firmly and allows full access to the back.

People have added this longer strut so fridge slides can be mounted on that side.
Downside of this is that a frontrunner ladder will now hit the guard when the door is fully opened.

Very helpful info, thanks. I find that parking even on relatively mild transverse slopes means the door won't stay open so a stronger resistance strut should help with that. I'm having trouble finding where I can get one from though. Any ideas?New boy wrote: The strut is a Stabilus lift-o-mat Part number 81850T86R00.
