I had a Ford Mondeo with a heated front windscreen. What about getting a heated front windscreen. Buy one here and wiring it up to the mains and a thermostat. When its icey, thermostat kicks in powers the heated windscreen. Would just have to remember to plug it in. Or wire up a small elec heater. Have it wired up so as you drive off it unplugs. Thermostat . Boom Fast release plug :side:

Whats up with using de-icer? It takes seconds. Or get an ice scraper like the good old days :)

get a 1000amp deep cycle leisure battery, and use a 12 volt heater. I use one in the garage, she lasts 2 - 3 months running my inverter and 2x 60Watt lightbulbs.
Just recharge every few week, or plug it in when your driving

so wrap a length of copper pipe around the exhaust downpipe and connect it to the washer bottle & jets

That's what I did years ago on my old '69 Moggy 1000, I used copper brake pipe. LoL!

Just thought if I mentioned that in this day and age, I'd get guffawed at.... :lol:
