There is a product that heats your screen wash as it passes through it but I can't remember what it's called and it won't do your side windows. Side windows are less likely to re freeze after a squirt with de icer.

I had this when I was on the local Lifeboat crew but garaged my car in the end solving the issue.

The Jimny does heat up quickly though, so it's not the end of the world, but then I never would've liked to have said that to someone in the Thames when it's cold enough to freeze my screen and they are waiting for me to save them, but when my windscreen has cleared!

I've never dared it, but how long does warm tap water stay too warm to re freeze. It's not too warm to crack a screen apparently. If it stays warm long enough for the engine warmth and heater to take over and stop it re freezing it might be a solution but I fancy it will cool and re freeze too soon. Anyone got experience at -14c as we have had here the last two winters?

If you park close enough to your house you could run a mains cable to the car and use a portable fan heater in it

In other news, don't use warm water to try to defrost your windows - bizarrely enough warm water freezes faster than cold water. Read all about it here
