well i have dry fitted the engine, the drivers side mount lines up, the passenger mount is a little off, it look about 10mm to wide, i, thinking about cutting the base plate off and welding another moving it in a liitle towards the engine,

the sump of the 16v engine fits so thats good,

the starter doesnt quite fit, it is a little too fat, is it safe to grind a bit of the block?

i have taken photos and planning on doing a little write up once it is done

Apparently you can grind a bit off the block so i have been told other way is skinny bosch starter but i think they are a rare find and they come from 8valve vits if i remember
why not do 1/2 and 1/2 bit of starter and bit off the block starter motor caseing is at least 5mm thick
